Skin Patch Tests - TRUE Test®

TRUE Test® is a Skin Patch Test (SPT) used to identify common allergens that cause Allergic Contact Dermatitis (ACD).

Whilst treatment with steroids and other medications may suppress the symptoms temporarily or during an acute phase, the long term treatment for ACD is prevention or minimisation of exposure to the allergen(s) causing the problem. This means that the identification of the allergen(s) causing the symptoms is an important step for the long term treatment of this condition.

Common allergens that are implicated in ACD include:

  • Nickel
  • Chemicals
  • Paints
  • Perfumes
  • Dyes
  • Drugs

TRUE Test® is a ready to use patch system used by trained health professionals in dermatology or allergy clinics and some doctors rooms. It contains a broad representation of the most common allergens.
